Helen Golay, Behind the Mask

In season 3, episode 4, one sees the murder of 2 homeless men by Helen Golay in California. The show is titled Behind the Mask and Discovery ID describes it as, “Deadly Women looks at cases where women murder in secret including Helen Golay and Olga Rutterschmidt who kill homeless men for insurance money, Betty Lou Beets who murder two husbands and bury them in the yard, and Kim Hricko who sets her husband on fire to hide an affair.” Helen is no doubt a serial killer, who would have continued to kill men to collect their life insurance if she had not been caught. It's sad to make life so short and difficult for the most vulnerable members of society. Helen Golay was convicted of Murder and sentenced to Life Without. She has no chance at parole . In season 3, episode 13, one sees the murder of Jerry Heimann by Heather Opel in Washington. Lisa M. Montgomery, Fatal Obsession

In season 3, episode 8, one sees the murder of Bobbie Jo Stinnett by Lisa M. Montgomery in Kansas. The show is titled Fatal Obsession and Discovery ID describes it as, “Women consumed by obsession.” Her plan was to steal an infant, after faking a pregnancy.Many women have committed similar crimes and not received a death sentence. I think this occurred because this was the first time it was blasted as a national news story.  The baby survived, she was named Victoria Jo Stinnett and was returned to her father. Lisa M. Montgomery was convicted of kidnapping resulting in death and sentenced to Death . She was tried in federal court and is in federal prison. In season 3, episode 5, one sees the murder of Bruce Miller by Sharee Miller in Michigan.
