Lisa M. Montgomery, Fatal Obsession

In season 3, episode 8, one sees the murder of Bobbie
Jo Stinnett by Lisa M. Montgomery in Kansas. The show is titled Fatal Obsession and Discovery ID describes it as, “Women consumed by obsession.”

Her plan was to steal an infant, after faking a pregnancy.Many women have committed similar crimes and not received a death sentence. I think this occurred because this was the first time it was blasted as a national news story.  The baby survived, she was named Victoria Jo Stinnett and was returned to her father.

Lisa M. Montgomery was convicted of kidnapping resulting in death and sentenced to Death . She was tried in federal court and is in federal prison. She will never be paroled, however I would not be shocked if her sentence was commuted to life.

In season 10, episode 10, the murder of Anthony "Tony" Wojcik by Patricia Silberstein is shown. The show is titled DIY Burial and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as An aspiring Olympic equestrian finds a solution to her financial woes; a young divorcee decides to get rid of her ex-husband for good; a greedy woman sets her eyes on a wealthy widower for her next victim.. Patricia Silberstein was Convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 22 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994. At the end of the day, if you do not learn that murder is never the answer from this, you never will.

Connie Leung, Double Trouble

In season 7, episode 15, the murder of Stephen Leung, and Chi-lin Leung by Connie Leung and Eric Louissant is shown. The show is titled Double Trouble and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as Women that have control over their partners and plots a murder. Her parents forced her to end the relationship as it was interfering with her studies. Connie Leung and Eric Louissant pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder and were sentenced to 30 years to life. She is eligible for release in 07/01/30.
