Heather Opel, Blood Ties

In season 3, episode 13, one sees the murder of Jerry Heimann by Heather Opel in Washington. The show is titled Blood Lines and Discovery ID describes it as, “Blood ties can sometimes pull a person into a murderous conspiracy.”

Heather was manipulated by her mother to kill with other teenagers. While she is guilty, I think her sentence reflects the fact she was firmly lead astray by her parent.

Heather Opel was convicted of Murder and sentenced to 22 years.

  1. I knew heather as a little girl . My daughter went to school with her and she has stayed overnight at our home. They were in tbsll together. Barbara her mother was a loud mouth bully. Heather was not an obnoxious child. She was completely controlled by barb opel. I dont think she had a choice in doing what she did and should be released from prison. This girl needed help not the penal system.
