Denise Goodwin, The Vulnerable

In Season 9, Episode 13, Denise Goodwin is featured on The Vulnerable. This is the story of how Denise Goodwin committed fraud and first degree murder upon Gerald Rabourn. His body has never been found.

Denise Goodwin was convicted/plead guilty to fraud and first degree murder and was sentenced to life without parole .


Her appeal (see link) includes:

 A jury found Denise Goodwin guilty of the first degree premeditated murder of an 88-year-old man and found true the special circumstance allegation that she committed the murder for financial gain. The jury made these findings despite that the victim's body had never been located. The jury also found Goodwin committed numerous theft/fraud crimes against the murder victim, the murder victim's wife, and another unrelated elderly victim. The court sentenced Goodwin to life without the possibility of parole for the murder conviction plus four years for one of the theft convictions. The court stayed the sentence on the remaining convictions.

Patricia Silberstein DIY Burial

In season 10, episode 10, the murder of Anthony "Tony" Wojcik by Patricia Silberstein is shown. The show is titled DIY Burial and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as An aspiring Olympic equestrian finds a solution to her financial woes; a young divorcee decides to get rid of her ex-husband for good; a greedy woman sets her eyes on a wealthy widower for her next victim.. Patricia Silberstein was Convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 22 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994. At the end of the day, if you do not learn that murder is never the answer from this, you never will.

Daphne Abdela, Love Sick

In season 4, episode 14, one sees the murder of Michael McMorrow by Daphne Abdela in New York. The show is titled Love Sick and Discovery ID describes it as, “Baby faced schoolgirls looked innocent but don't be deceived, they became cold blooded killers when they thought someone was after their boyfriends.” This murder was particularly disturbing because they did not simply kill him, they dismembered him and violated his corpse. Anyone encountering her should proceed with caution. Daphne Abdela was convicted of Murder and sentenced to 10 years. She has since been paroled.
