In season 2, episode 6, one sees the
murder three people, and the wounding of 7 others by Sylvia Seegrist in Pennsylvania. The
show is titled Twisted Minds and Discovery ID describes it as, “In
Pennsylvania, a mentally disturbed woman opens fire on shoppers at a
mall; depression drives a woman to smother her children to death; a
Florida nurse murders 12 nursing home residents”
She was found guilty but insane at the time of her trial. She suffered from schizophrenia from an early age and had been sexually abused by her grandfather.
Sylvia Seegrist was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences and
seven consecutive 10-year terms. She is not eligible for parole.
