In season 3, episode 1, one sees the
murder of Ruth Pelke by Paula Cooper in Indiana. The show is titled
Young Blood and Discovery ID describes it as, “A young girl
strangles two small boys; teenagers Holly Harvey and Sandra Ketchum
stab Holly's grandparents to death; teenagers murder a 78-year-old
Bible teacher.”
Paula Cooper was convicted of murder and
sentenced to Death, which was later commuted to 60 years. She was released in 2013. She later committed suicide. She was 45 years old.
No doubt, it was difficult to live under the cloud of that homicide. Sometimes people who kill are truly rehabilitated. They deserve a normal life just as much as anyone else. You can read her friend's account of that day here.
