In season 5, episode 20, one sees the
murder of Neil Olsen by Patricia Robinson-Olsen in Massachusetts.
The show is titled Match Made For Murder and Discovery ID describes
it as, “Women who want more than their husbands can give.”
No motive was clearly identified for this murder, though there is conjecture it was financial. Patricia did an interview with Candice Delong on Facing Evil, and Candice seemed to believe her to be genuine in her claim of innocence due to her body language, consistency in story, answers to questions etc.. It is entirely possible her son killed on his own due to the conflict with Neil.
Christopher Robinson admitted to killing Neil and is serving a life sentence at Massachusetts Correctional Institution and will be eligible for parole in 2021. The fact he clearly got a lesser sentence for testifying against his mother is disturbing. Her latest appeal in 2013 has unknown results.
Her appeal (see link) included:
During their marriage, the victim owned a sign lettering business that he operated out of the barn at his home. The victim had a retirement account valued at $102,807, and a life insurance policy with a death benefit of $75,000. The defendant was the designated primary beneficiary for both assets. The couple had a number of joint bank accounts for the house and their businesses. The defendant once operated a nearby video store in Pittsfield, and, when that business closed in 2003, she opened a restaurant named “Mrs. O's Seafood” in its place. She spent a large amount of money converting the video store into the restaurant.
The defendant managed all the finances for the household and for the businesses. Unbeknownst to the victim, the defendant drained the joint bank accounts, and some accounts were closed for being overdrawn. Many bills for both businesses went unpaid, and some vendors would only supply goods if they were paid cash. The defendant failed to make timely payments on a $21,000 debt to a contractor who helped convert the video store into the restaurant. In 2004, the defendant defaulted on payments on a home equity loan taken out on the victim's house. The bank made a demand for full payment on the loan, in the amount of $40,000, and indicated that, if payment were not made, it would commence foreclosure proceedings. The defendant borrowed $45,000 from the victim's brother to pay the bank under the conditions that she would eventually pay him back and that neither of them would tell the victim about the loan.

I was locked up with her when she first came in. I swore she was innocent til this episode aired. She said the horse did it. But then the evidence photo showed a bloody metal pole. The evidence was definitely all agents her and I 1000% feel she’s guilty now.
ReplyDeleteSome people can spin a story that makes you believe, then you see the evidence and you know they are guilty.
DeleteI personally knew Neil and Patricia.... She did NOT accuse the horse the 1st responding officer though that's what happened. Pat NEVER said that until after the officer said it. Her daughter should be where she is because her daughter witnessed her brother rage fully murdering Neil. They had the plan to blame Pat, and shame on them n stupid thinking as well they figured w Neil dead n Mom in prison that they would GET EVERYTHING Of Neil n pats. They hate their mother for choosing her husband over 2 manipulative spoiled, brats. They weren't used to Pat NOT spoiling them as she always did, she told them I live you I'm sorry but they knew Neil's Reasonable rules. Amanda is just as guilty as her brother. Pat was dragged down by 2 ungrateful, self entitled, conniving, lying, deceitful, children that she babies n spoiled them LITERALLY ROTTEN.. ROTTEN to their very core. I hope justice one day will he served by Ananda. Patricia Didn't say Hannah killed Neil #1 & # 2 if you sat with her the first 3 weeks in jail you would know with EVERY fiber of your being that Amanda and Christopher did this all on there own. Evil to the fullest.
DeleteI agree, I as well knew Neil and Patricia, as I mowed there lawns several times helping a friend at Sav mor oil with the side business they had doing lawns.... They were a great, nice, and friendly, and funny couple. I as well know Patricia now BETTER than ANY person who ever did any jail time with her. I've visited Pat since she's been wrongfully convicted, we correspond. I actually was just told her son Chris has been granted Parole. Now myself and several others DO NOT feel safe. I along with others are going to have to get protection orders against him. Why the hell they'd ever let that Psycho shit head out I'll never ever understand. His sister walked never even being a suspect, and now they grant him parole????????? No. I'm in shock at the thought of him walking around free, he's actually in minimum security and doing work release.... How do you all feel about that??????
DeleteSo, Chris was released on parole while Pat unjustly sits in prison. What a sad turn of events. I can't imagine how Pat must be feeling right now. I am so sorry for Neil's family as well. I have read the legal document and Neil Olsen's family opposed to his release. For me, he should have been given life. He isn't someone that should be walking around. Poor Neil, may God embrace his soul.
ReplyDeleteHer daughter Amanda Robinson was incredibly attractive.
