Campbell by Molly Martel is shown. Molly Martel was convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 20 to 40 years. She is eligible for release in 2030.

She alleged self defense, but fled and manufactured injuries on herself.

Her appeal (see link) includes:

The defendant was charged with alternative counts of second degree murder.  The victim,Stephanie Campbell, died from stab wounds after an altercation with the defendant.  Prior to trial, the defendant filed a notice of self-defense.  The State filed motions inlimineseeking, interalia, to admit evidencethat:(1) the defendant habitually carried a knife; and (2) “the defendant was fired from her job less than two months before the victim was killed, due to a theft allegation for which she blamed the victim.”The State asserted that “the theft allegation led directly to the defendant being charged with possession of controlled drugs, a charge that was pending in the Candia District Court at the time of the victim’s murder.”Thetrialcourt granted both requests, and “invit[ed] defendant to submit a proposed limiting instruction on [evidence concerning the second matter] to be given contemporaneously with the admission of the evidence.

The show is titled DIY Burial and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as An aspiring Olympic equestrian finds a solution to her financial woes; a young divorcee decides to get rid of her ex-husband for good; a greedy woman sets her eyes on a wealthy widower for her next victim.. Patricia Silberstein was Convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 22 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994. At the end of the day, if you do not learn that murder is never the answer from this, you never will.

Sylvia Seegrist, Twisted Minds

In season 2, episode 6, one sees the murder three people, and the wounding of 7 others by Sylvia Seegrist in Pennsylvania. The show is titled Twisted Minds and Discovery ID describes it as, “In Pennsylvania, a mentally disturbed woman opens fire on shoppers at a mall; depression drives a woman to smother her children to death; a Florida nurse murders 12 nursing home residents” She was found guilty but insane at the time of her trial. She suffered from schizophrenia from an early age and had been sexually abused by her grandfather. Sylvia Seegrist was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences and seven consecutive 10-year terms. She is not eligible for parole.
