Kerry Lyn Dalton, Pleasure from Pain

In season 5, episode 14, one sees the murder of Irene ("Melanie") Louise May by Kerry Lyn Dalton in California. The show is titled Pleasure from Pain and Discovery ID describes it as, “Depraved women who take pleasure from pain.”

While Kerry was addicted to meth, which is known to cause psychosis, this was more sadistic then an average meth fueled attack.  Melanie was tortured for hours before death and her body has never been found. Despite this being on the internet, she is still listed on the offical DOC site as being sentenced to Death.

Her appeal (see link) include:

Kerry Lyn Dalton and Sheryl Baker (petitioners) are charged with murder.  (§ 187, subd. (a).)  The People seek the death penalty, alleging petitioners intentionally killed the victim while lying in wait (§ 190.2, subd. (a)(15)) and the killing involved the infliction of torture (§ 190.2, subd. (a)(18)).   The  People applied for an order to examine conditionally 2 witness Patricia Collins (Collins) under section 1335 et seq. on the grounds Collins is terminally ill 3 and that she had received a threatening note.   Collins purportedly has knowledge about the victim's disappearance and murder.   The court found Collins's life was in jeopardy due to illness and ordered she be examined conditionally.
Petitioners seek a writ of mandate,4 arguing the plain language of section 1335, subdivision (a), prohibits conditional examinations in capital cases.   The People contend section 1335, subdivisions (b) and (c) permit the examinations in “serious felony” cases, including capital cases as defined in section 1192.7.


Kerry Lyn Dalton was convicted of Murder and sentenced to Death. This was later commuted to twenty five years to life..

    Bring Kerry home, this is bullshit, prejudice folks is what you are to speak out negative..keep it to yourself.
    Remember how you jump to judge , you will be judged. I vote set her free, NOT Guilty !
    Seems we are close to Mexico where it happen , yes ?
    Seems the girl was into drugs , yes ? Seems very possible she was crossing the stuff over, to me ? it's very possible she got in trouble with the wrong people like the cartel and probably disappeared just several miles to the border across the border her husband got a call from her a month after the murder supposedly took place the police listen to speed freaks the police went to the house right after it's supposedly happened found not a drop of blood so you tell me that's a twilight zone read the notes what the judge said. Kerry had a prejudice Jerry straight out of The twilight zone, her own judge didn't even feel right about the sentencing. I know Kerry Lynn personally I haven't seen her for years and this is a lie, this is an insult to our justice system. I'm writing you now Kerry, the lost one Nina Elaine Jealous Of Him, I am in Rapid City today

Fred Andros In season 4, episode 10, one sees the murder of Susan Fassett by Dawn Silvernail in New York. The show is titled Under His Control and Discovery ID describes it as, “Three women have love stories with bloody and bleak endings all blinded by desire and malleable leading to relationships with dangerous men” Fred Andros convinced her to kill his other lover. Fred is the most unexpected person to be able to completely control another human being. Nothing about him is remotely appealing. He must have had one heck of a personality.... Daphne Abdela, Love Sick

In season 4, episode 14, one sees the murder of Michael McMorrow by Daphne Abdela in New York. The show is titled Love Sick and Discovery ID describes it as, “Baby faced schoolgirls looked innocent but don't be deceived, they became cold blooded killers when they thought someone was after their boyfriends.” This murder was particularly disturbing because they did not simply kill him, they dismembered him and violated his corpse. Anyone encountering her should proceed with caution. Daphne Abdela was convicted of Murder and sentenced to 10 years. She has since been paroled.
