Allen by Karra Trichele Allen is shown. The show is titled Sugar and Spite and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes it as Women who seem sweet natured turn out to be killers.

Karra Trichele Allen was convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to life.

Brian was tired of dealing with her alcoholism which made her a very nasty hateful person and had told others he was willing to give her half of everything to be free of him. The day of the murder she texted multiple friends that she wanted to kill him and told him she hoped he would die in a car accident. She was clearly a very bitter woman.

Her appeal (see link) includes:
A jury found appellant Karra Trichele Allen guilty of murder for fatally shooting her husband. SeeTex. Penal Code § 19.02(b)(1).  The jury assessed punishment at life in prison, and the trial court rendered judgment consistent with the jury’s verdicts. In four issues, Allen contends that the trial court submitted erroneous self-defense instructions to the jury. We will affirm the trial court’s judgment of conviction.
