Javier's sister, Yolanda Angel Magana has worked tirelessly to make sure Julia is not paroled. Yolanda was given a “Citizen of Courage” award and works as a advocate support specialist in the UCSB Rape Prevention Education Program, according to Noozhawk.

In season 2, episode 6, one sees the murder three people, and the wounding of 7 others by Sylvia Seegrist in Pennsylvania.
