There was no evidence of abuse and Billy had quit drinking alcohol years before he was killed. Overall he seemed to be a caring parent who at worst, battled some personal demons from time to time. His death is unfortunate for those who loved him.

Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994.
