Juanita Gomez was convicted of the murder of her thirty-three year old daughter, Geneva Gomez. Investigators believe she staged the crime scene to make it appear she was performing an exorcism on
her daughter who she alleged was possessed by the devil. She appeared to be making a case for mental illness in regard to court. Not much is known about the relationship between the two women prior to the murder.
She has since appealed her conviction and sentence, which was life. In Oklahoma, she will need to serve 38 years to even be considered for parole. With her being in her fifties, it is unlikely she will ever be a free woman again.
