Amber Craker

Amber Craker's case is complicated to say the least. The first thing that jumps out when reading about what happened, is where were the adults in her life? Parents? Family Friends? There defnitely seems to be a lack of reasonable adults in her life. At any rate, she gave birth to a daughter at home with no medical intervention. She arrived at the hospital needing life saving surgery. She confessed here. prior to surgery to police. The baby was found at home deceased. Amber was charged with capital murder for killing her daughter. The family held a funeral for the baby. You can read an in depth article about the crime and what followed here.

Her boyfriend, Damien Cate, also father of the baby was found not guilty by a jury.

In season 10, episode 10, the murder of Anthony "Tony" Wojcik by Patricia Silberstein is shown. The show is titled DIY Burial and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as An aspiring Olympic equestrian finds a solution to her financial woes; a young divorcee decides to get rid of her ex-husband for good; a greedy woman sets her eyes on a wealthy widower for her next victim.. Patricia Silberstein was Convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 22 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994. At the end of the day, if you do not learn that murder is never the answer from this, you never will.

Sylvia Seegrist, Twisted Minds

In season 2, episode 6, one sees the murder three people, and the wounding of 7 others by Sylvia Seegrist in Pennsylvania. The show is titled Twisted Minds and Discovery ID describes it as, “In Pennsylvania, a mentally disturbed woman opens fire on shoppers at a mall; depression drives a woman to smother her children to death; a Florida nurse murders 12 nursing home residents” She was found guilty but insane at the time of her trial. She suffered from schizophrenia from an early age and had been sexually abused by her grandfather. Sylvia Seegrist was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences and seven consecutive 10-year terms. She is not eligible for parole.
