given a life sentence.
Terri was consumed with guilt not
knowing who her son's father was, which lead her to punish herself by
harming him.

At the end of the day, if you do not
learn to use birth control when sleeping casually with many partners from this, you never will. No one cares who you sleep with anymore, but at least have enough sense to be on birth control so you do not end up with a child that has no idea who their father is.
This is such a sad story; just like Andrea Yates, here's a mother who loved her children, but didn't get the help she needed in time.
