Na Cola Franklin, Forever and a Day

In Season 9, Episode 9, Na Cola Franklin is featured on Forever and a Day. This is the story of how Na Cola Franklin committed murder upon Billy Brewster on their wedding day.

Na Cola Franklin was convicted of murder and was sentenced to a life sentence. At sentencing, she said, "I didn’t mean to kill him. I didn’t ... I love him. I do still love him. I love him more than myself". She appealed the verdict based on battered woman syndrome but it was denied. It was alleged she killed him because she did not have the wedding of her dreams.

She would have to be the ultimate bridezilla. There is speculation she was disappointed with how her wedding day turned out.

  1. NaCola was in a abusive relationship with Billy he was a Control freak, she meet him on a party line like 4 yrs before she moved to Pennsylvania, she is originally from Los Angeles, she use to sneak on the phone to talk to her friends, he would call all the numbers back, just to see who she was talking to, if our boyfriends would answer our phones he would fight her, we wouldn't hear from her for months then she would tell us what happen, if she hear him coming she would hurry up and say gotta go, and hang up, we tried as her friends to get her to come home, but she loved him, didn't want to separate the kids from there dad, she never called the police on him, cause she didn't want him to lose his job, he was the provider of the house, he was a EMT, he wouldn't allow her to work, you know we can point the finger all day long but the people that testified against NaCola with the lies, eventually judgement day is going to come, and your going to have to answer to somebody, for you to lie about someone's character is sad, these children are left without a mother and father, but why didn't they let the oldest kids testify cause they knew what went on in that house on the daily before this occurred, her oldest son is suffering everyday cause they wouldn't let him speak up at trial, and say what was really going on in the house of Nacola being abused, I'm not saying NaCola is right for killing Billy, she should have let the Authorities handle it, but if he would have left DRUNK with her infant in the car and crash then what, it's a sad situation But my friend is not some crazy killer she is sweet as Pie, have a heart of gold, this is totally not how NaCola is, her mother couldn't take her being locked up, so she passed away right after NaCola got sentence, from a broken heart, I was in a abusive marriage and it takes a lot to overcome these type of situations, even though I was beaten everyday, I just kept praying asking God to help me out, or just let me die, cause my body and my soul was tired, finally I took my kids and moved while he went to work and never looked back.

  2. I do not know either party. My dad was assisting their Pastor with the wedding that day. He called us from outside their apartment to let me know something terrible had happened. Our prayers go out to everyone involved. Taking a life is horrible and there are no do overs. I just find it hard to believe that she that this could be called premeditated. This was hours before her wedding. I believe she snapped while protecting her child. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life. No one plans this. She did not know he would be drunk hrs before, nor did he think she would actually stab him. I wish she would have taken the plea deal. I did not think they had enough evidence for First-degree murder .
