Veronica Erin Staley plead guilty to the murder of Aljosa Memovic.

She arranged to meet him in a parking lot under the guise of bringing him food. She lay in wait for him. When he arrived she shot him once and continued to shoot him after he fell. There were witnesses and it was broad day light. A bystander created a cell phone video of the suspect at the time of the murder.

She has been sentenced to life in prison which means she must serve forty years before being considered for parole. Had she gone to trial she could have received life without or a death sentence.
