Melissa Huckaby


Melissa Huckaby pleaded guilty to the first degree murder and kidnapping of Sandra Cantu. During her sentencing, she said,  "I still cannot understand why I did what I did. This is a question I will struggle with for the rest of my life." The prosecutor in the case speculated that she killed Cantu for attention

While she did plead guilty and take responsibility for her actions, it was primarily to avoid the death penalty which was an option if she took her case to trial.

The show is titled DIY Burial and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as An aspiring Olympic equestrian finds a solution to her financial woes; a young divorcee decides to get rid of her ex-husband for good; a greedy woman sets her eyes on a wealthy widower for her next victim.. Patricia Silberstein was Convicted of 1st Degree Murder with and sentenced to 22 years, 7 months, and 6 days. Later, she is given a 15-year sentence, which she serves, and dies three years after her release. This crime occurred in 1977, she is released 1991 and dies in 1994. At the end of the day, if you do not learn that murder is never the answer from this, you never will.

Sarah Marie Johnson, Lethal Vengeance

In season 3, episode 12, one sees the murder of Diane and Alan Scott Johnson by Sarah Marie Johnson in Idaho. The show is titled Lethal Vengeance and Discovery ID describes it as, “When an insatiable quest for retribution grows out of proportion.” She was sentenced to two concurrent life terms plus fifteen years for a firearm enhancement. The Idaho Innocence project is attempting to have DNA testing done in her case. There are shady details regarding Christopher Hill. Sarah Marie Johnson was convicted of 2 counts of Murder and sentenced to 2 life sentences. She has no chance at parole.
