Jenevieve Ramos

Jenevieve Ramos and her boyfriend, Shaun Puente had robbed four San Antonio businesses in the course of a two week crime spree. She was the get away driver. When they were being chased, Ramos was driving the car and Puente was shooting out the back window at Officer Robert Deckard, who was struck in the forehead, killing him instantly. To her credit, she opted to plead guilty and received a life sentence. It is highly unlikely she would have gotten a death sentence if she had gone to trial. Texas has the law of parties, where she would be responsible for the killing even if she did nothing to kill the officer.
