In 2014, Alexis Botello was convicted at a jury trial of capital murder and tampering with evidence, which resulted in an automatic life sentence.  She did nothing to help her daughter, Tylea, and went
with her boyfriend afterwards to purchase shovels at Walmart to conceal the death. The only thing that can really be said in her defense is that she too was battered by her boyfriend and she did admit on the stand that her baby's death could have been prevented. Her boyfriend, Joshua Beard, was also sentenced to life.

In season 7, episode 15, the murder of Stephen Leung, and Chi-lin Leung by Connie Leung and Eric Louissant is shown. The show is titled Double Trouble and Discovery ID's Deadly Women describes as Women that have control over their partners and plots a murder. Her parents forced her to end the relationship as it was interfering with her studies. Connie Leung and Eric Louissant pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder and were sentenced to 30 years to life.
